Facility Master has been modified to support the Vista operating system.
Numerous options have been added to the grid reports. This includes a monthly calendar and a 5 day grid report.
A number of new usage reports have been added.
Now you can track the number of hours a facility is scheduled during a specified date range.
You can also track the hours used for a specified reservation title within a date range.
The number of Exception days has been increased to 24.
Exception days may be overridden by pressing the o or O key. (Oh, not zero)
What is the custom option in the ReportWriter program ?
We often have requests for customized reports and/ or design new reports between versions of Facility Master. The Custom option allows us to place a new report in service without having to change the ReportWriter program. Just put the new report in your Facility Master directory, using a specified name, and it will be useable via the Custom option.
Various Custom reports are available for downloading, select Reports from the menu in the left frame.
On one of our work stations the date has disappeared from the upper left
grid in Facility Master ?
The previous default date format in Windows was m/d/yy. With Y2K, the default has been changed to a mm/dd/yyyy format, which previous versions of Facility Master couldn't accommodate. There are 2 ways that this can be corrected.
#1 Upgrade your Facility Master (free) to version 4.3 or above. We adjusted the code to accommodate either format.

#2 Change the Window's default date format. This an be easily accomplished via the Window's control panel option. (Start - Settings - Control Panel - Regional Settings -Date)
We have an older version of Facility Master and haven't applied the free
upgrades. We just brought it up to date and can't find the reports in the Admin program.
We were adding so many reports that we decide to add a separate ReportWriter program to Facility Master. All the the reports, that were previously in the Admin program, are now available in the ReportWriter program. If you don't have the ReportWriter icon, just execute the WS-Setup.exe in your Facility Master directory. WS-Setup creates all the required shortcuts for the Facility Master programs.
We have been using Facility Master for years without incident, but this morning
we recieved a message 'Invalid Serial Number' ?
If you are using a Novell LAN, download & read tech bulletin #1003.

One of our Pc's receives a message 'Illegal functionCall' when starting Facility Master ?
Check the default date setting on the PC having the problem.
Start - Settings - Control Panel - Regional Settings - Date - Set
If it is MMMM, dd, yyyy, change it to the standard of dddd, MMMM dd, yyyy.
We recently installed the Novell 4.x client software, now we can't start Facility
Master on some workstations.
